6. City Hall
“City of Champions”

In its early days, Garfield was a Textile Manufacturing Community, and the building that currently houses City Hall was once part of the Phoenix Woolen Mill.
The building was acquired by the City and renovated with funds from President Franklin Roosevelt’s Works Public Administration in 1940.
Today, many City functions are carried out in City Hall, including Mayor and Council meetings, Municipal Court proceedings, tax collection, parking and building permits, dog and liquor licensing, and other important services, supervised by a City Manager.
